There isn’t just one solution for every client. Use these recommendations as a starting point, explore your options, and trust your judgment. Rapid rinse times are general guidance; results vary by client, application, and formula. Follow the product directions and choose the plan that fits your client.
Bronzer helps determine the tone of the tan, creating different shades of brown—from cool and neutral to warm. The bronzers in Glazed Sunless solutions stain the skin for the first 2–5 days of the tan.
DHA determines the depth, or how dark the tan outcome is. With a classic solution, depth is based on the DHA percentage. With a rapid solution, rinse time helps determine the depth.
Use this guide to create a custom DHA blend for a classic 8–10 hour rinse. Choose two percentages and set your ratio.
Every artist has questions. Let’s look at what may have happened, what you can do, and what to keep in mind next time.

Color theory helps you determine which bronzer shade may best suit your client to create their most natural, true-to-tan brown. It’s a suggestion—everyone’s preferences are different, but color theory is a great place to start. Choose an undertone to explore your options.
Color theory is a helpful visual guide, not a guarantee of a developed shade. Undertone, skin type, the client’s preferences, application, and the formula all matter. Glazed’s cosmetic bronzers contribute to tone and stain the skin for the first 2–5 days; DHA helps determine depth. Heat is clear and has no cosmetic bronzer for color correction.
